Its summer again here in Japan and man, it’s HOT! And while we’re baking under such heat, we’re left wondering of ways to cool off, and what better way to cool off than going to the beach(actually, staying in your room with the AC on full blast is better, but it isn’t quite as much fun). If we’re going to the beach, why not go someplace really nice, like “one of the three most scenic spots in Japan” nice, right? That’s why Amanohashidate is gonna be our first stop for what is, hopefully, gonna be a long list of adventures for KSPs.
Breif Intro
As I already mentioned, Amanohashidate is one of the three(yes, there are only three) most scenic spots here in Japan, and if that ain’t a good reason to go there, I don’t know what is. Its located at Miyazu Bay, way north of Kyoto so it’s perfect for us Kansai Pipz.
What to do there?
As Big Papa have told me , aside from going to the beach to swim, we can go fishing, biking, ride the cable car up the mountain, and, definitely, take a lot of pictures(and, in Big Papa’s case, a lot of candid videos…hahaha). Well, there is still no definite itenerary aside from what’s already on our minds…To have lots of fun. 🙂
When to go and for how long?
We’re thinking of all of us meeting in Kyoto then go there on August 13 and stay at least two nights, three days there. That way, we’ll have plenty of time to relax, enjoy, and to do what we want to do there, while not putting too much strain on our budgets.
Speaking of budgets, what is the budget?
Approximately 30K yen would be safe if travelling from Kyoto, since the express train leaves from Kyoto station. Here is the breakdown of the expenditures we will have on the trip:
- Travel：￥4580 x 2 – Express train to and from Kyoto Station. It takes 2hrs. one way.
- Lodging：￥3950 x 2 – For 2 nights stay at a place there, where the beach and other places are at walking distance.
- Food：￥7000++ – Not sure about this but I think this is a safe approximation of 3 days worth of meals.
- Total Damage： ï¿¥24060 – Yes, I know its way off from the budget I suggested but plans change, and its better to be safe than sorry, right?
How to join in?
Just comment on this post if any of you KSPs wanna join in so we know how many will participate. And please invite those you wanna join to comment as well . I hate to put a deadline to this but please tell us before August 7 since we need to reserve our lodging there.
What to bring?
Aside from three days worth of clothes and the usual beach stuff, it’s all up to you, since we’re all old enough to decide ;). Food and drinks are optional(but alcoholic drinks are a must!…hahaha just kidding) .
